Why We Worship

We believe in the power of praise and worship. It is an act of humble adoration, giving glory and surrendering oneself to God. “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord”; “Lifting up holy hands unto the Lord”; Let the high praises of God be in their mouth”; Praise Him with the timbrel and dance”; Clap your hands O ye people, shout unto God with the voice of triumph”. Psalms 150.

These same versus in the bible on worship can be expressed and experienced at GAP Church. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).

Sometimes we worship God on the nature of joyful celebration. In other times, we worship God in the stillness of His Holy presence, shedding tears of joy, feeling the healing touch and peace that cometh only from God. We often find ourselves a loss for words in expressing the love that we feel from God.

In the atmosphere of true worship the spirit of God draws near, people received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the gifts of spirit are in operation, people are healed and delivered, lives’ are changed, and above all God is glorified.
